My prediction: This year $AAPL will acquire $SNAP so that Tim Cook can retire and have Evan Spiegel lead the company.

I’m not really a businessperson and definitely not a finance person, but I think by both measures Tim Cook has been a great CEO. But Apple needs to innovate again, and Evan Spiegel is the right person for the right company. And it’s time for Evan to make products and services for non-kids.

Apple, honestly, feels boring. They don’t necessarily need to do things with AI to become “not boring”, but they should at least come out with innovative new products. Merge the Vision Pro and Spectacles teams, and you have a decade of incredible innovations ahead.

(And it is also just pocket change for Apple)
